To your grease, add your almond flour & arrowroot powder, whisking over medium heat until your get a good paste.Īdd milk and bring to a slow boil, whisking constantly. Add a little extra grease of your choice if you need it (there needs to be about 1/4 cup of grease in the pan). Remove from pan, but leave the grease in the pan. Salt and pepper to taste (don’t be shy on the pepper!)īrown sausage until cooke throughly. Bake biscuits 15-18 minutes or until tops start to brown.Ģ-3 cups of milk (I used about 2 1/2 cups) Drop batter by spoonfuls onto baking sheet. Fold in egg whites into flour mixture until well combined. In another bowl, beat the 6 egg whites until very white and foamy. Mix together almond flour, coconut flour, baking powder, and salt together in a mixing bowl. I lined a baking sheet with foil and greased the foil. So yay! □ġ/4 cup milk (use coconut milk to make paleo) I decided that I needed to make sausage milk gravy with some primal biscuits the other day – it was a huge hit! My husband raved and said he liked the biscuits & gravy even better the next day as the flavors settled. Growing up, I loved my Mom-mom’s fried chicken with biscuits and milk gravy. Your gravy should just coat the back of a spoon and not run back together. And remember that your gravy will thicken as it cools (unless you like to eat yours boiling) so if you’re concerned that it’s too thin, things always work out in the end. It may not look like your gravy is getting thick, but it will. That’s normal! (See image 2 below) Stir constantly but gently over medium heat. It’s going to look super watery at first. Remember to cook that flour a minute or two once it’s been added to the sausage. If you can’t get that, any good pork sausage will work fine. You’re looking for regular breakfast sausage, raw, in a tube, ground up, but has been smoked. I don’t do lard at all though it’s the gold standard for some–I’d like to keep my heart pumping. I used to do only Crisco (vegetable shortening) like my mom, but dropped that in favor of the flavor of all butter ones. I know a lot of people do, but the biscuits just aren’t as good. Please don’t ask me if you can use regular milk. Sometimes they’re tall, sometimes they’re a bit shorter (it all has to do with the moisture) but they always taste good. They’ll be easily accessible anywhere there’s a Dropbox app and you can get much more free Dropbox storage than you can iCloud storage. Dropbox: Dropbox’s Camera Upload feature allows you to automatically upload the photos - and videos - you take to your Dropbox account. The solution here is a third-party app that does this for you, offering the automatic photo uploads with long-term storage. There are several good services with apps in the App Store: Videos Aren’t Included: Photo Stream doesn’t include videos, so any videos you take aren’t automatically backed up.If your iCloud storage is full and you haven’t purchased any more storage more from Apple, your photos aren’t being backed up. iCloud Storage Limits: Apple only gives you 5 GB of iCloud storage space for free, and this is shared between backups, documents, and all other iCloud data.30 Days: Apple also states that photos in your Photo Stream will be automatically deleted after 30 days “to give your devices plenty of time to connect and download them.” Some people report photos aren't deleted after 30 days, but it's clear you shouldn't rely on iCloud for more than 30 days of storage. If you have 1000 photos and take one more, the oldest photo will be removed from your iCloud Photo Stream. If you don’t have those photos backed up elsewhere, you’ll lose them when you lose your phone. Do you have 1500 photos in your Camera Roll folder on your phone? If so, only the latest 1000 photos are stored in your iCloud account online. 1000 Photos: Photo Stream only backs up the latest 1000 photos. Unfortunately, there are some big limitations here. iCloud’s Photo Backup LimitationsĪssuming you’ve set up iCloud on your iPhone or iPad, your device is using a feature called “Photo Stream” to automatically upload the photos you take to your iCloud storage and sync them across your devices. Apple's iCloud has a photo-syncing feature in the form of "Photo Stream," but Photo Stream doesn't actually perform any long-term backups of your photos. Cheers to the new adventures, and your seasonal menu. Thanks again, Seasons 52, for a delicious evening of wine and nibbles. I look forward to reading more about their experiences, suggestions, likes, and dislikes as I continue to settle into this new community. The other bloggers and writers were nice and curious about me, the new comer. A little bit of pumpkin cream, graham cracker filling, and a gingersnap cookie had me leaving on a happy note as I liked my spoon clean of the pumpkin pie treat. Just as I remembered, the mini indulgences were the perfect way to end the meal. The portabellos made the risotto ironically meaty in texture and substance, all melted together perfectly with the balsamic reduction glaze. The portabello risotto was rich in flavor due to a drizzle of truffle oil throughout the rice. The charcoal smell made me close my eyes in happiness as the quail was buttery and rich while maintaining a clean finish. I wanted to pick up each piece and nibble it to the bone, but didn’t think that was the best way to present myself to this new crowd. I think I’ve said it before, but dishes like this make people forget that the meals at Seasons 52 are calorie savvy.įourth Course, Manchester Farms All-Natural Grilled Quail, paired with Michael David Petite Petit and Glenelly Cabernet SauvignonĪnother delicious dish, the quail was perfectly tender and rich in texture and taste. The asparagus was crisp and well seasoned, a great accompaniment to the plate. The potatoes were wonderful, never skipping a beat as they were properly seasoned and tender – all without a drop of butter. Though it was lean, it wasn’t lacking any flavor as it was grilled perfectly, covered in a creamy, rustic mushroom sauce. This dish showcased all the reasons why one should enjoy every morsel more often. Piedmontese steak is a leaner cut of meat that I don’t eat very often. Third Course, All-Natural Piedmontese Steak, paired with Tilia Bonarda I felt this was almost a fun play on a typical waldorf salad, just a bit more modern and delicious finishing with a black pepper taste. The presentation was great though I believe this is how many of their salads are presented: in a cylinder that is then ‘poured’ on your plate. I really loved the ginger soy dressing that dressed the salad. The duck was tender though done a bit more than I would have preferred. Mixed in were apples, butternut squash, and crunchy walnuts. I was slightly overwhelmed by mint with this course, as it was ruffly chopped in the salad. Second Course: Maple Leaf Farms Sesame Duck Salad, paired with Avanthia Godello The chicken was extremely tender and full of flavor from the grill, it was a perfect fall dish. Pumpkin seeds gave it a bit more crunch, but I wished there were a few more as I was hunting for those and the dried cranberries. There was a sharp bite, not only from the vinegar, but also from mustard seeds. Pockets of vinegar burst with each bite of the salad, as crisp celery and apples dabbled through the salad giving it a crunchy texture. My favorite dish of the night, the rustic smell of the grilled chicken was intoxicating. All have been fantastic, so I expected a similar experience here.įirst Course: Cider-Glazed Grilled Chicken Skewers, served with Farrier Andiron Semillon I’ve done these tastings before in Indianapolis, specifically referring to the last Autumn tasting, and have always had a great experience. I was warmly welcomed here in Atlanta when invited to join fellow bloggers and writers at the Seasons 52 Autumn menu release. Let’s get back into the swing of things, shall we? But I don’t want you to think that I’ve been out of touch with food, because I have been very well in touch with feeding my appetite. These imperfections further enhance the texture's authenticity, telling a story of durability and weathering. The rough concrete texture with cracks and pits showcases a concrete surface that has endured the test of time, displaying not only its natural roughness but also the presence of cracks and pits. When incorporated into digital projects, the PBR rendering enhances the texture's ability to react realistically to lighting conditions, making it a valuable asset for achieving photorealistic and immersive virtual environments. This texture uses high-resolution details and accurate material properties to create a lifelike representation of rough concrete walls. The PBR rough concrete wall texture takes the realism of rough concrete to a higher level with Physically Based Rendering techniques. This texture is commonly used in architectural visualizations, interior design, and digital artwork, as it can add an industrial or rustic charm to spaces and create an atmosphere of urban decay. These walls may display exposed aggregate or other imperfections that contribute to their rough appearance. The rough concrete wall texture specifically focuses on concrete walls with a coarse and uneven surface. The surface of rough concrete is not smooth, exhibiting an organic and textured look that adds character and authenticity to various design projects. This texture showcases the natural ruggedness and gritty feel of concrete, which is often achieved during the casting and curing process. What Is Rough Concrete TextureĪ rough concrete texture refers to the visual representation of a concrete surface that possesses a coarse and uneven appearance. Additionally, with the advancement of Physically Based Rendering (PBR) techniques, the rough concrete texture can achieve enhanced photorealism, making it a valuable asset for creating immersive and lifelike virtual worlds. The rough concrete texture is a powerful tool for storytelling and design, allowing creators to craft visually captivating and evocative scenes that resonate with viewers. Designers and artists frequently utilize this texture to bring an element of realism and authenticity to their creative projects, evoking emotions of rawness, simplicity, and a connection to the essence of concrete as a versatile building material. It adds character and depth to virtual environments, creating a sense of urban decay, historical richness, or industrial allure. With its rough and gritty surface, the rough concrete texture finds versatile applications in architectural renderings, interior design, and digital artwork. This texture is often achieved during the concrete casting and curing process or deliberately left unfinished, resulting in an industrial or rustic look. It showcases the natural ruggedness and authenticity of concrete, revealing its inherent imperfections and raw charm. The rough concrete texture is a captivating visual representation of concrete surfaces with a coarse and uneven appearance. Now click on Q again to get back to the selection, make sure your background image layer is selected, then go to edit > content-aware fill. Now you can switch to the brush tool and then you can paint on top of any area that is missing. In this case, I’m going to expand the layer mask by 20px, click on ok, and if you click on Q, you’ll be able to see the expanded area better. So we’re going to be using the selection from the layer mask, and to do that ctrl/cmd click on the layer mask of the subject layer to load it as a selection. Now that we have the subject separated on a new layer, we need to remove it from the background image layer so that we don’t get a halo effect around the subject when we add blur, This will apply the changes to the layer mask 2 – Remove The Subject From The Background Once your selection is ready, go to the bottom and then change the output to “layer mask”, and click on ok Now, if you want to restore an area back, you can switch to the brush tool, and then use alt/option the switch between the “plus” + to add and “minus” – to remove. You can select the refine edge brush tool, and use it to refine your layer mask and improve any missing areas like the hair. In this case, the view is on overlay and you can also control the opacity of the backdrop using the opacity slider, If you hold alt or option and click on the layer mask, you’ll be able to see your layer mask in detail, and you can also refine your selection more by clicking on the “select and mask” button.įrom here, you can use the refine edge brush tool to enhance your layer mask. Once you have a selection of the subject active, click on the layer mask icon to add a layer mask and hide the background. Start by duplicating the background image by clicking on ctrl/Cmd + J and now to select the subject, we can use the “select subject” feature in Photoshop. We’re going to do this in two steps, the first step is to separate the subject from the background so that we don’t have a halo effect when we add blur to the background. If you want to follow along with this tutorial using this image, you can download it from the tutorial resources section above So to get the best results from this tutorial, make sure you have an image with low light and it has some light in the background just like the image we have today In this tutorial, you are going to learn how to make fake Bokeh in Photoshop that looks realistic using 2 simple steps. Creating fake bokeh in photoshop is s very straightforward process if you have the right image to work with Step 03: Prepare the OSĭownload Raspbian Buster Lite and burn it to a microSD card. For reliable power we added a powered USB 3.0 hub. We decided on 1 terabyte of storage, meaning two 1TB external drives. To provide a layer of protection, you’ll need to double the number of drives to make sure your data is safer. Raspberry Pi 4 offers USB 3.0, so make sure you get external USB drives that take advantage of that extra speed. Rotary drives give us lower cost and higher capacity than SSDs. The design of Raspberry Pi means using external USB disks. The most important decision you’ll make is how much storage you’ll need. In simpler terms, it’s a box on to which you dump all your movies, photos, music, and other stuff so you can get to it wherever and whenever. The files themselves should be available with appropriate security measures over desired protocols. That means it should protect against system failures that cause significant downtime, and make sure no data is lost as a result of those failures. It must also offer availability and resilience for your data. So what is a NAS, anyway? A well-implemented, network-attached storage device is typically a headless device (no keyboard or monitor) providing access to large amounts of data from anywhere on your network. 2 × External USB drives (minimum), e.g. This article first appeared in The MagPi 85 and was written by PJ Evans You'll need Now, thanks to the improved throughput of Raspberry Pi 4 with USB 3.0 and Gigabit Ethernet, you can build a fully featured NAS for a fraction of the cost. These file- and media-serving black boxes can punch a hole in your bank account, particularly the professional versions aimed at businesses. Getting access to those files and making sure they are protected from drive failure can be challenging without an expensive network-attached storage (NAS) solution. If you’ve got a lot of files like photos, music, or movies, chances are they are sitting on a hard drive somewhere. For example, you might frequently encounter replays of players that were able to get hole-in-ones or a double eagle. In this case, it must be said that Golf Clash and Playdemic have definitely not used this method properly. This is a good method to fix the issue, but only if it is handled well. The game simulates these recordings in a way that makes a player believe that their opponent is a human. Semi-human players are just recordings of what other players did. The other method, the one which Playdemic uses for Golf Clash, is to match players against players that are only semi-human. This is due to the fact that the matches won’t be fun for either player due to the difference in their quality. Even though this prevents long loading times, it isn’t an effective solution. This allows players to be matched against players that are considerably weaker or stronger than them. One method is to make the matchmaking algorithm much less strict. This ruins the fun for the players, which is why Playdemic and other developers use two different methods to satisfy their users. This is especially true for the higher levels of a game, as there aren’t many players that might be on that level. Their players have to wait in a queue for several minutes before they can play a single match. There are multiple games out there that encounter this problem. This lack of players can lead to severely long loading times in an attempt to find another human player, which is obviously frustrating. This can’t always be the case for games like Golf Clash, as there aren’t millions of users playing all the time. In any 1v1 game, you’d expect to play against another human player. However, these claims got more serious when players were able to get hard evidence about the fact that the game uses replays. A few players were complaining across many different social media platforms that the game forces them to lose matches. This issue and debate have been around since the early days of the game. Here is a detailed look into the issue in order to decide once and for all whether or not Golf Clash is rigged. This has led even more players to believe that Golf Clash might be rigged. However, Playdemic, the developers of Golf Clash, have obviously denied claims that the game is rigged and ignored all evidence. Many people that believe that the game is rigged have some solid evidence to support their claims, while people that say that the game is fair to make some interesting points as well. You can ask anyone about this issue and they’ll have their own views on it. This is one of the oldest debates that have been going on in the Golf Clash community. These players believe that the game is causing them to lose again and again so that they’ll make in-game purchases with real money. Thousands of players that play Golf Clash have complained many times about how they feel that the game is rigged and causing them to lose matches. |
